Experience has shown that one of the big problems
for parents with a special needs child is transport.
From the earliest age, it is necessary for all
children to travel. Initially, to a clinic, perhaps, followed later by a
nursery, and then to a school. This can be quite a trial for parents of children
without special needs, but if a wheelchair, for example, is involved then the problems of
transport are more difficult.
The Castle Toy Library is run on a 'Toys to
Children' basis, rather than the other way round.
In the evenings, the children are visited by
volunteers
in our well-stocked van.
